Took a Vectra to the knee today. I cant get it sorted until later this month, which is annoying. eSure seem to be barely motivated. In any case, i'm a little worried about that gap. Any chance someone can use it to gain entry?

Image size sorry.

I mean, my entire repertoire of car larceny skills is based on movies where people use little bars or whatever. It's just kinda close to the lock so thought id check.

Is the door still locking ok?

I'd doubt it as they'd have to do some serious work to pry it open.

It would still need to be pried open, this hasn't really made it any different, just perhaps a little (and I do mean a little) easier.

I've used crow bars quite a lot of my life, I reckon a clever person would get into it, but not easily.

Oh. It's not a Vectra, it's an Audi A3. The Vectra had 0 damage, 'cause justice.

62 Plate, 16k miles. They're not writing it off based on the photos ive sent but did estimate 3.5k if it's just superficial (door and rear wing replaced) maybe up to 4.5k if there's anything on the chassis... it was very low speed impact so shouldnt be anything too serious under there.
