Is this sentence too short?

what the crap? how irresponsible is that as a parent, stealing a car and being stoned? wow she's got great morals and sure sounds like she's a great parent. hmm...

its not too short but it could have been phrased better...and i think it needs a comma.

Lol.

I think it is about right considering that it was an accident and the driver wasnt in the right state of mind.

The other driver got what he deserved.

Is this sentence too short?

4 people have been killed because of her including her children and she only got 9 years.

This is disgusting.

This guy got 10 years 8 months for a lot less imo.

The difference is that the woman didnt mean to kill anyone whereas the bloke deliberately drove his car at someone..

No, i dont think her sentence was too short. It was not malicious.

Man, I spent 5 minutes looking for what sentence he was talking about before I realised what the hell he was talking about.

Oh well. On my sofa, it's 3am and I've been drinking Southern Comfort and lemonade in China all night.

Now, where's that damn sentence...

But malicious or not, she caused the death of 4 people. Does that not warrant maybe a little bit more of a sentence? I tihnk what the armed robber got was about right, because that can be attempted murder and he is obviously a danger to the public.

That was exactly what I was thinking when I read the title, I was expecting a thread about bad english on the BBC news website :D.

She got 9 years...thats more than we give to most rapists and violent criminals in this country...

That is a suitable punishment for a dreadful mistake...and it was a mistake. She has lost her 2 children and 2 friends...The fact that she didnt mean to do it means she will suffer with those deaths privately...

She even tried to lay the blame on one of the teenagers killed in the crash. :(

She claimed Lee Gray, 16, who had only jumped in the car on a whim at the last moment, had been driving when it crashed on the evening of 31 January 2006.

But later, when faced with overwhelming evidence to the contrary, she admitted she had been lying.
