Steer clear. An AMD fusion board would be a lot more powerful - even an Atom/ION combo. Yes you would need to buy a HDD/SSD, optical, case and PSU, but you wouldn't worry about heat, any of it going pop from old age and it'd be a lot quieter.

£120 just not worth it any more in my mind. I'm guessing it could be one of the old E2*** Core 2 duo boards that got rebranded Pentium Duals, but still think I wouldn't get it.

Ahh cheers guys ill save my 120 then. So is it impossible to get a semi decent one for 120?

Depends what you've got lying about that could be reused?
What do you need it to do?

You can get very cheap, but not terrible ITX cases with 250w-300w PSUs for under £30.
I've used one before and was surprised that it wasn't utter tripe. Wouldn't hook it up to power hungry kit or decent GPUs, but it'd do to start off.

Can pick up an ITX motherboard with 16x PCI-e, 4gb DDR3 and a Celeron G530 for under £120 new on OcUK, so if you looked around at the used market, would probably be quite easy to build something on the cheap.
