Is this silent

The OcUK Value GeForce 9400 GT "Silent" 1024MB DDR2 HDTV/DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail looks as if it has a big fan on it? Anyone know if it is silent and fanless?

It doesn't look fanless from the pic.

Could send them a webnote to find out how quiet it would be though.

It's got a fan, but by the looks of it it shouldn't be too loud.

a) it's not fanless
b) the "silent" is in quotation marks - never a good sign

c) 1GB on a 9400 is rediculously useless. It only has a 128bit memory interface.

What you using it for?

I got one of these last week for a relative, and although the pic shows a fan its actually a passive fanless Gainward card :
