Is this stable ??

I have ran prime 95 for 5 hours and it seems ok but im abit worried about the voltage that cpuz is reading. I had to go from 1.5.50 volts to 1.6.50 volts in my bios because that was the next step up but in cpuz it is showing 1.7

I'd do a few memtests and 3DMark has been shown to find issues with overclocks as well, so that's worth a go too.

As for the voltage, I've no idea, sorry.

Erm the voltage seems a bit high, i take it the stock is 1.5? What do the other monitoring apps say?

I have done super PI which is runs fine, css stress test runs fine also ill check 3dmark05 now. And yes the stock is 1.5 v

btw

cpu temps :

idle temp is about 25-27 ish

load 35-40

I really just want to know if its safe to run at those volts as i dont want to fry the cpu

Well 1.7 is too high IMO if thats the correct value

It might be wrong tho also whats so bad about 1.7 if my temp is like 40-43 load ?

Its not just temp that kills a chip the volts matter too something about electron migration.

Ive taken it back down to 1.50 but thats not enough to keep my cpu running at 2.5 just have to run at 2.4 unless anyone has better idea ?

edit :

I just used that gigabyte oc tool to up the voltage to 1.6 and in cpuz it shows as 1.664, as soon as i run prime 95 the voltage goes up to 1.7+

It's a newcastle so 120nm, the voltage is fine if a little on the high side.
