I am in need of a new GPU as my ATI X850XT can't cut it any more. I don't have a lot of money right now, only £150~ish, I really want to stay with ATI. I am about to go and purchase an Connect3D ATI Radeon X1950 XT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI.

I only use 1280x1024 res on my Samsung 19" monitor, and I have an Skt 939 system.

This is about the best I can go for with my system and money, right

256mb will be fine for 1280x1024, 512mb doesn't really make much diff anyway, even at high resolutions your only talking about 5fps or so, which is nothing, x1950 XT is a cracking card, performance increase will be absolutely staggering going from an x850, very slight overclock on the memory and you have yourself a 256mb x1950 XTX, and it will last for donkeys yet aswell. :)

cheers for that, but my biggest concern at the moment, is that I am around to take delivery of the card, as I had an accident with my car, and that's needs to be sorted tomorrow morning a.s.a.p :(
