Is this the correct way to set up a roaming wifi network?

I have:

-Netgear DGN1000
-Netgear WN802t

Both are set to the same SSID, WPA2-PSK, the same password (clearly) and using different channels, 1 and 11.

The WN802t has an option for bridging which I don't quite understand, but it's disabled anyhow.

Should this setup enable me to roam from one location to the other without interruption?

How does the wireless signal radiate from access points? If I have one in the bedroom upstairs, will it cover areas in rooms below?
