Is this the worst bulk ever?

He looks fit in the first couple of pictures, the later ones just look... well, embarrassing!

Jeezus he was eating 9 meals a day and they all consisted of Chicken, veg, rice, eggs, milk or weetabix! I'd have died of boredom after the first week :o

Obviously eating way too many calories, especially from carbs.

We all know how good it feels when we see the scale go up...maybe he just wanted to keep that going? Or maybe he doesn't have a mirror...

Wow, thats a bit of over bulking, if you read his other replies too, he feels happy going from 20kg Bench Press to 60 Kg in 18 months. Thats some slow progress, i went from 35kg to 60kg in 10 weeks following GordyR's Sticky!

Okay, I'm a latecomer to this thread, so I've only read pages 1, 13 and 14. To the OP, you have about the worst progress pictures I have ever seen. Don't argue otherwise, I'm here to criticize and not flame, but I had to put it bluntly to show how serious this is.

Nothing i say to you will probably change your mind. regardless in 2-3 months you may have a different opinion when i post my cutting progress.

rather stupid post really. I think it said more about your maturity level then it did about my thoughts to achievement..

You don't have a passion for weight lifting AT ALL. I, as do many members of this board, have a passion for weightlifting. What makes me different from you? I thorougly educate myself learn new things daily. I read muscle mags, read these forums, look up nutritional advice, read up on supplements, read Arnold's book (great book btw), etc. You obviously just started eating and lifting (btw your routine is pathetic) and assumed that results would come.

You really need to take a step back and educate yourself because at 18 years old with that kind of progress, you have absolutely no idea what you are doing. If you had taken maybe as little as an hour a day a few days a week for a month and read up about nutrition / good beginner lifting programs, you'd have great results by now. The good news? At 18 years old you have plenty of time to dig yourself out of the hole and make progess. Your metabolism should also be pretty high since you are so young.

I'll keep the advice simple.

1. Do HEAVY weight training 5 days a week, maybe even 6 if you have the time. Find a routine you like, you can start by looking up beginner routines in these forums, or on google.
2. Do cardio 3 to 5 times a week, and ALWAYS either do cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (Ideal), or do it immediately AFTER (not before) your workout (if you are too busy to do it in the morning)
3. Eat a HIGH protein LOW carb diet, I'd say about a 50/40/10 ratio of Protein/Fat/Carbs. Don't be alarmed by the high fat intake, read up on high fat low carb diets, they work. When I say 40% fat, use HEALTHY natural fats like peanut butter, egg yolks and none of that processed food garbage.
4. Post progress pics in a month so we can judge if you are on the right track or not. If you had posted progress pics early on, we would have corrected you before you became morbidly obese.

Last but not least, if you stay dedicated you can dig yourself out of this hole. However, realistically, you just set yourself back about a year.

And what were you thinking during this bulk? Were you looking at yourself in the mirror everyday and thinking you were actually making progress???!? I would never let myself get that big, even if I was dirty bulking. (For the record, I only clean bulk)

Best sort of advice...blunt as a hammer

He looked much better before he even started. :o

Strange how women think they always look fat, whilst most guys (especially the short arses :p) are the opposite and think they aren't built well enough so bodybuild to compensate.

Maybe it comes from societies expectations (or what people believe them to be at least). I'd still reckon most men could tell if they look fat though, I'd be surprised if that kid hadn't, at some point, looked in the mirror and thought that he was putting on too much weight in the form of fat.

Some of the comments are pretty harsh but perhaps that is what is needed here. :)

There's nothing more to add to what's been said already. This goes to show that eating and training mean nothing unless you know what you're doing.

Blooming heck, i'm only just taller and just lighter than him, yet i'm no where near that fat. I'm wondering how he didn't notice his man boobs growing.

Can't say much which hasn't already been said, it looks like 90% of what he's gained has been fat, and water - I think he said 2 spoons of creatine, if that's mono and daily I think that's a bit of overkill.

Still, it can be good motivation for us to keep eating clean.

just me or does he have the worlds narrowest shoulders too ?

ive never trained or dieted in my life and admit to been fat but i still look better than he does in those after pics :p
