Has my friend bought the wrong mobo....

i think he has... this is what he has bought...

Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express

but his graphic card is this one...

PowerColor ATI Radeon X850 XT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express)

what do you think ?

They should both work together fine, but it won't ever run SLi if that what he wants.

If he's only just bought it then he should take it back and swap the card for an Nvidia one.

I'm not sure how viable it is to buy the graphics cards one at a time anyway. Lots of things only seem to work if you buy two from the same production batch, but I have no actual experience of this in practice.
