I have a MSI K8N platinum mobo, with Athlon 64 3200+. I have a Raddeon 9550 graphics card, a WD 200gb hd, creative audigy 2 zs.

I am not overclocking or anything at the moment, but someone on another thread suggested I should get a new fan?

Cheers
Andy

it is in a fairly confined space, nothing major. fan is a akasa ak855. and the front one is a sunon something.

it is an evesham computer, with a case like this one in pic, hard to see, sorry.

the front fan looks as though it is 80mm.

and there is space for a 120mm fan on the back.

would you advice replacing the fans and cpu cooler?

if so, any particular ones?

cheers

a stock cpu cooler? On closer inspection.... there is only room at back for an 80/92mm fan, will it make enough difference to bother getting one? the cpu cooler has levers on to release it, so assuming it will be easy to come off?

will that gigabyte one be much better than the one i have? will it be better so i can use the cool n quiet on the amd 64?

cheers for your help

i have a akasa ak855. last time i updated the bios, the computer wouldnt start, jus started with a black screen and monitor didnt turn on, and evesham came and replaced the mothorboard and graphics card! any reason why that may have happened?

i have bios 1.1, and live update says there is 2.1 available.

ok, last time i did that my computer wouldnt start, would there be a reason for that? I think I may wait till after my exams to do that!

cheers for the suggestions.

ok, i will definately be upgrading bios, is there anything i should take note of while doing it? i'm sure last time i did it, it asked me if i wanted to update in windows or dos? is that right, or am i making it up!? if not, which one?

cheers
