Just got my new X1900XT 512 card and I still have to play COD2 in DX7 or it's slightly jerky + cards hitting 72c as I have never had this card b4 is that an ok temp? should I use ATI tools and put more volt to the card??

Any advice lads?

More volts puts the temperatures up, and that temperature is fine as-is. :) X1800 and X1900 cards do run a fair bit hotter than Nvidia ones.

Not sure why it would be jerky though, it should eat up COD2 for breakfast.

Yeah thats what I thought, had to have DX7 on my old 850XT PE 256mb but as you said this card should p*ss this guns a blazing...!!

Must be summit up, more investigating I think?

Definitely. Have you done the standard boring rigmarole of reinstalling drivers and making sure the card is in the slot properly etc?

Yeah that temps fine, my x1800 XT hits about 71-72 underload. :)

Have to agree with the above about COD2 shoud easily handle it, i got a minimum of 40 odd, and thats maxed everything 1280x1024, 2xAA/16xAF in DX9, and swearys need to be fully starred out. ;)

AFx16 that within card setting right? not graphic options within COD2?

COD2 work ok with dual core chips I take it? dont need to set it to us infinity 0? Also Im using CCC?? they pants or should i use omega's?

CCC is definitely pants, just get the display (and WDM) driver from the official site and run ATI Tray Tools. Use ATI Tool for overclocking too, as CCC lies and does all sorts with memory timings in the background which means your overclocks actually perform much less than they would normally.
