The AMD Turion 2.1 Ghz in my laptop idles at 48/52C and when browsing it can get to 64C. I guess this isn't right, it shouldn't burn my legs. How can i cool it down?

Laptop cooling is always a trade off to be honest.

If it's an old laptop the try blowing through the vents that the laptop sucks/blows air out of as it might be caked in dust.

There are tray type devices with fans that you can buy which I think run off a USB port to aid cooling, no idea how good they are though.

I find Laptops do run warmer, I had 3 Dells and the cpu temp went upto 60c + before the CPU fan would come on.
Intel mobile chips have a higher thermal band, may be the case for AMD mobile chips.
