I have read cant remember where and a guy at the apple store at Trafford centre says the 21.5" iMac are more popular is this cos of the price?

As the guy at the store says it because it plenty big enough and good enough for everything people want to do.

Ive a 27" at the moment and I cant see myself downgrading in size even though if the specs be better.

Different people, different needs.

I went for a 21.5 for 2 reasons. 1) I don't gain anything by having the 27", in fact unless I get a 680mx gaming at native resolution wouldn't be great. 2) It's in my living room, and 27" is far too big for the room.

Suppose you right it all down to what people want. I suppose people sometime get the 27" for the stake of it?

But I seem to like the screen size for Photo work. But I cant seem to afford the 27" anymore if I went for a new one

i sit about a keyboards length away from my monitor so 27" would be too big that close.

Then a 660m won't be able to handle gaming at decent fps on a 1440p screen anyway.

My 21" is arriving tommorow excited now never had a mac before.

Did you order a stock model or upgrade?

A large screen is one of the perks of desktop computing. If you like the 27" model going smaller seems a bit of a step backwards.

I just got a 27" and I sit a keyboard away from it :)
The reason I went 27 is desktop real estate! I considered multi monitor but decided to go this route instead. 2560x1440 is glorious and makes my coding a bit easier having so much real estate available

well it arrived today just been installing my software on it atm.

currently have photoshop
ilife
xbmc
few others as well i'm liking the magic mouse atm with the forward backwards on websites.

will have a full trial tommorow and might try putting windows on it tomorrow
