Is this upgrade worthwhile?

So basically I want to see if you guys think this upgrade is worthwhile doing? From rumours I hear the GTX 1080 Ti could be released in March. I MIGHT consider getting a GTX 1080Ti later this year, but first I am considering upgrading. See below.

My current setup is:

i7 4790K (stock)
Z97X Motherboard
16GB DDR3
Hyper 212 EVO air cooler


Setup I am considering upgrading to:

i7 7700k (Possibly OC to 4.8ghz)
Z270 motherboard
16GB DDR4
Corsair H100i V2 liquid cooler

Do you guys think this upgrade is worthwhile doing from my current setup??

The Hyper 212 EVO is a value champion, but if you want to eke a bit more out of what you have then why not get the Corsair H100i now and use it to push the CPU a good chunk higher?

There's no point in upgrading what you have unless you're willing to spend a lot more, for what will still be fairly marginal gains - you don't game in 4K, do you?

Many thanks for everyones input, its appreciated.

I do game in 4K. I have a Acer XB280HK 4K Gsync monitor and a Nvidia Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming GTX 980 Ti.
