I am new to overclocking. I used the auto-overclocking feature in the bios of my Asrock Extreme4 Gen3 motherboard.

Is the 1.344v to much for a 4ghz overclock with the 2500k?

The voltage isn't dangerous but it's much higher than I'd expect to see for a 4GHz overclock.

From what I've seen 4GHz should be possible at a much lower voltage or, putting it another way, 1.344V is probably what you'd typically need for an overclock around 4.6GHz.

Just lower the voltage from what it is now until it becomes unstable. then increase it slowly until it is stable again. It is what I would do my voltage is about 1.34 with 4.6ghz. I am going to start to lower mine today. I just wanted to run it with everyday gaming/apps for a few days to make sure it was stable for what I use it for.
