Is this washing machine setup ready for installation?

Very basic question for a new homeowner here. Is this space for a washing machine ready to plug and play, or do I need something else? In my mind, the drain pipe will connect via the top hole (into that pipe where you see the yellow-coloured thing stuffed inside?), the height negating the need for a standpipe, and the water pipe will connect via the bottom hole to either one of those blue-nozzled taps. No idea if I'm right or not.

Yeah that looks right, the drain hose goes to that barbed connector with the rag stuffed in it, the water one goes to either of those blue connections and it obviously plus into the mains and that's it.

Like you said i'd probably put the drain in through the top hole so the old water doesn't drain back into the machine as easily.

I always like to use a hose clamp on the drain just in case, you can just shove it on with enough force but i've had one pop off in the past and it wasn't pleasant!

So yes you are setup for both a washer and a dishwasher.
