I seem to play better in fps games if i like the look and the sound of the gun even if it does less damage and has crap stats compared to other guns....anyone else get this?

In CSS i have a lot of weapon packs/sound packs and i hated the MG...when the model and sound changed i loved it and played better!

I prefer a certain shotgun in BC2 for the reason it looks and sounds beefy but apart from that whatever does the job?

I like the look and spread of the m4 so I tend to do pretty well with that. I guess its down to what weapon gives you the most satisfaction to use.

there is probably some sort of stimuli in the sound that has an effect on your performance, i say probably but i have no idea, mabe someone should do some testing..

but yes i get this too

i can relate to this. When i played DODsource i replaced all the gun sounds with a saving private ryan sound pack and i could own with the BAR, take the custom sound away and i was awful.. It is weird.

I do the same thing, ill pick weapons I like the look and sound of

I was hated in my CS clan for constantly using the P90 despite having one the best K/D ratios in the clan

Definately. I was whack in CSS with the M4 until I got a skin and sound pack. I don't have any idea why but it does seem to affect me.

exactly the same here. i cannot use the M4 without the silencer to save my life. virtually.

Haha in corridors the P90 would recoil carrying the 3 or 4th bullet straight into the head of the opposition. Crouching after the 1st kill would lead to the 2nd and third. But no one likes a corridor camper.
