my mate has seen this and 9 was wondereing if he could get cheaper/better building my own

he wants it for all round performace and must handle the latest games at 1280x1024

not a great case for a media center pc, and the graphic card really sucks, but you've got £ 100 left in the budget to sort that out

though I would probebly go for an AMD system you could get a really good system for that money

Will this be used as a media centre pc as well?
A 7300GS is rubbish, it is about the same speed as a geforce 6600 (non GT). Thats why it only costs £50. It would not be good enough for gaming at that res.

This would be a much better spec for gaming, if you don't need the media centre parts, remove these and change the cpu for a X2 3800+.
