I can get a HIS X2900 512MB OEM for £185 delivered from a mate.

is this worth it? Currently on an X1800XT 256MB.

Will be using it for DX9 gaming only. Can i power it properly with dual 6 pin pci-e leads from my psu when its supposed to be a 6 pin and an 8 pin? Currently also running an E6600 at stock, 965P DS3, 2GB G.Skill PC2-6400, an X1800XT 256MB and a tagan modular 530W PSU, as well as 3 hard drives and two optical drives. would this be enough power wise?

Cheers for any advice.

Hmm, thats about the same Price that I got mine for :).
It's a great card, and it can actually play Armed Assault with everything up high.

For £185 it sounds like a good deal.

As for your Power Supply, I'm using a 600 Watt Jeantech to power my system of 2 DVD drives, 2 HDD's, 2 gig Ram, DS3 mobo, and a E4300 at 2.7ghz currently.

My PSU doesn't seem to struggle, I doubt yours will either.

What rez is your monitor?? or what Rez do u game at??

currently run dual screen, 22" and 19" widescreen, onmrlaly only gaming on the primary, 22", at 1680*1050. The secondary monitor tends to be run at 1440*900, running msn/irc and similar, so i can still see if people are trying to get ahold of me while fullscreened.

EDIT: just thought i'd remind you, this is virtually an OEM card, with almost nothing provided except for the card itself. Still worth it?
