Hi, my brother has just found this car for sale and wants to know if you lot think it is good value for money.

It's a late 2003 Audi TT 1.8 (225) cabrolet. It's done 16k miles and has a full service history. Looks like new both inside and out. Has all the bells and whistles except leather seats which is the only thing putting him off it. He's managed to get the dealer down to £15,500 with a set of 18" alloys from another TT that he has in stock (they look much better IMO).

and he'll be getting these wheels

Is it about right for this price and what alternatives is there that he could look at?

Thanks

I was looking at a TT 225 in Silver 2003 with full leather and the quattro alloys few weeks back, that was 15k, so based on that i would say the price is alright but you can do better, not the best colour for a TT either imho and those wheels have cheap tyres fitted.

There isn't really much of a selection of these over here in NI especially the convertable and most of them are well overpriced. This is the colour he wants so that is a bonus. I'll let him know those are cheap tyres lol.

Ahhhh your in NI, should have checked, you can only buy whats around i suppose, i would hold of for leather and some Quattro alloys though ;)

These alloys are off a Quattro but I don't know if they are standard or not with those.

This is the other TT for sale in the same place with the alloys he would be getting

agreed, look like kahn rss's.

its a nice car, why the insistance on leather? hood down + leather = sore!

If your going to buy a TT make sure that either the instrument pod has been or is going to be changed before you buy it. they are a known issue and around £800 iirc to get it changed.
