Is this worth the upgrade

I’ve recently upgraded my little sisters pc so I have her old 3100 Ryzen cpu and a 970 gpu.

My mrs was using a 3200g in her pc and just using the onboard graphics. She’s a teacher and literally just does lesson planning / slideshows etc on her pc. She doesn’t game on it.

She’s wanting dual monitor so I’ve put the 970 in her pc and it’s running fine.

My question is should I put a the 3100 In her pc too? Would she even notice any benefits over the 3200g

Probably won't notice any difference if she's not gaming .

What motherboard does she have ?

The 3100 is definitely the better CPU, despite the same generation number, since it is a newer architecture, but realistically the spare graphics card the 3200G gives you is probably more valuable than a faster CPU she won't notice.

I don’t think I’d bother swapping the chips, unless I had need of the 3200 elsewhere.
