Is this wrong? (Grammar)

When I was 10 (in 2002) I was taught one space (IIRC). Two spaces seems weird. I don't differ my spacing between comma and full stop when hand-writing something!

I'm surprised no one has noticed the mistakes in the title of this thread. It should technically be "Is this incorrect (grammar)?"

* You should use correct/incorrect when discussing anything with rules or regulations, like grammar, and right/wrong should really only be used for moral/opinion topics.

* No need to put a capital in 'grammar'

* The bracketed section should go inside the question, not outside of it.

;)

I guess it depends how you interpret it. There is no right or wrong way of titling a thread. Read it like this: "Is this wrong?" and then just for clarification in case people wanted to avoid the thread I put "grammar" in brackets. Nothing correct or incorrect about it. As such, neither your comment about capitalisation nor the use of brackets apply here.

In my thread title "wrong" was used as an adjective which is defined as:

not correct or true; incorrect

Finally, this doesn't really regard punctuation but rather typography. The principal of putting two spaces after a full stop when word processing is merely for typographical reasons.

There is always the problem of interpretation in regard to grammar. ;)

Fair to you. I agree with everything you've said. I guess wrapping "grammar" in square brackets at the beginning of the title might have made a difference.

My aim was to be similar to:

or

Basically a prefix for the thread title, almost clarifying the subject from "general discussion" to "grammar" if you will.

Although, as I've said, grammar is open to interpretation, so it's probably right to say that we're both right and there'll be several solutions to one problem.

:D
