Anyone know if this monitor is any good, i'm not very up on contrast rates and types ect.

I do some photography and a bit of gaming nothing competitive

Can you suggest any in the same price range, ideally with 1 dvi and 2 hdmi ports

I think the dell ultrasharp u2412m would do the job, I see it has mini dp and dp on the monitor, would a dp to dvi adapter work as I need to keep the hdmi ports free and my gfx card only supports dvi
