Is it possible to spend £400 on a pc that will run total war shogun 2 on high. I ask this because my friends want to get a new pc and he loves playing total war games. what would be the best components (case,Gpu,cpu,ram power supply.hdd)

It is.

But top is much better, the Phenom II 840 is just an unlocked Athlon effectively. So none of that juicy L3 cache which can be very beneficial in some games!
