¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Right now I'm using x11vnc on an ubuntu install, and it's working real well.

I'm accessing this machine over the internet, so I was wondering if I would notice much speed difference going over to tightvnc?

I also do not have encryption set up, but I plan to once I get it running properly, I was wondering if was possible to access a linux machine from a windows client using encryption? Would I have to use putty or anything like that?

Thanks, I'll give ultravnc a whirl. I don't really need all the features of realvnc, I only occasionally remote admin, but it's nice if it's fast and secure. :)
