So, I've pretty much been up to date to every assassins creed game..and just about followed the storyline to what I could lol.

Just finished Rogue, and the ending was interesting, next up is unity..will that be before rogue or after?

Also Freedom cry is a spin off isnt it? is it worth playing as well? and where does it tie in the game story overall?

im not sure the games even connect story wise anymore.

since Desmond died there's nothing connecting them is there.

So the ending of Rogue continues onto Syndicate..or what?

In terms of the present day element of the story, ie those sections set in the Abstergo offices, yes. The setting of the simulation is a couple of hundred years after the French revolution setting of Unity and the timeline depicted in Rogue.
The series has become increasingly convoluted with each passing installment. If it was a cow, it would have bruised and bloodied udders trailing off the floor, its been mlked so heavily.

I stopped buying AC games after the American Revolution (III) one. I thought Connor was a rubbish protagonist and the game just bored me.
Bring back Ezio!

Freedom Cry is an "expansion" to Black Flag, although I have to say I was sorely disappointed with it, I completed it in a couple of days (Black Flag took a month). Not much in the way of storyline, and IMO a very empty character. I wouldn't say it's worth getting unless you can get it for <£5.

Yeah, 3 was awful. Awful story, awful characters, just generally dull and boring!

However I would highly recommend trying Black Flag - it's far superior in every way to 3, and (IMO) Kenway is a great character - not quite as good as Ezio Auditore Da Firenze (husband to a murdered wife, king of the Andals and the First Men, yadayadayada), but still very cool :)
