Is upagrading cpu "Plug n play"???

I want to upagrade from i3-9350KF to i7-9700k and just asking if I put it in pc is it gonna run like before with no drivers or do I need to install some drivers or something like that ???(or update the bios)

The 9700K will work right off the bat, it is supported by the original BIOS version of your motherboard. No drivers should need to be installed. Just take care when swapping the CPU as the CPU and the socket are delicate, the pins in the socket in particular.

Don't forget you will also need some thermal paste to apply to the new CPU before you put your cooler back on.
 
It's not plug and play - because that's a specific thing.
But yes if you follow the right procedure to replace the part then you're good.

True but I don't think he was asking if he can swap the CPU without interrupting the usage of the computer :p
 
its pretty much pnp. Just remove the heatsink, clean the bottom of the heatsink with an alcohol wipe, swap CPU, apply a very small rice sized ball of thermal paste in the middle and attach the heatsink. There is nothing needed software wise.
