Is upgrading worth it

Hi all,
Really just pondering the future. I like upgrading and playing with new bits of kits.

my question is: is it worth upgrading my current rig (in the sig) to anything other than i7? or should i just wait and save up then religate my mobo ect to a htpc.

i wasnt thinking processor so much as mobo, second gfx card, ssds, ram and maybe watercooling

theres really no need to upgrade anything except for maybe an ssd if you want but that system should run games on max settings for a couple of years

do you have a budget in mind mate.?

could always go for one of these for you OS and games and use your current hard drive for storage and backups.

I was thinking about getting at 32gb ssd for os and a raptor for games. i also want another 24" but at that kind of resolution i would be looking to get another 4870 in xfire but my current mobo only allows x8 crossfire so i could upgrade to be a better mobo to allow for full x16 and more ram, although i dont really need more than 8gb ram.

use my current mobo and hdd build a half decent htpc

the more i think about it tho, i might just put the money into a very high end water cooling set up. then overclock the q9550 to 4.5 - 5ghz

Everything in his sig looks awesome to me. Hehe, it's about time I moved on from socket 939. I'm going to wait until Windows 7 comes out or nearer to the time. i7 should be cheaper by then =D.
