Got a Synology DS1815+ with 4 x 10TB Red disks in it, attached to an APC BR900GI UPS.
Great NAS and the UPS has worked without fault now for about 7 years.
I'm at a crossroads though, the UPS battery needs replacing as it's dying. The part number is APCRBC123 and retail price is around £75.
Option 1: Spend the £75 for the new battery and hope it goes another 5 years+
Option 2: Remove the UPS from the chain and sell the UPS on for probably very little without a battery?
Power here is pretty good don't feel like I get many power cuts, but I guess the UPS is protecting against more than just power loss, but blips, voltage changes etc as well.
