Hi All,
I have a OEM version of Vista Home Prem 32bit running on my main pc. (Well it's got OEM in the product key on the system page)
I would like to upgrade it to W7 64bit and have a option to buy a copy for a good price but its the 'Upgrade' version.
So i understand that i have to do a fresh install as i am changing from 32 to 64 but as my current key is for an OEM version will the upgrade version work??
Or i have another option / idea as i have bought a retail copy of W7 home to run on my media centre that has been running W7 RC since i built it.
If i install this copy of W7 with out entering the product key will it run for a 30 day trial like Vista use to and then i could use the upgrade version and then activate it that way.........will that work??
