Is W10 doing background updates or something?

Hey guys,

quick question. Does Windows do background tasks? I ask as I get idle temps around 25c-28c on my Corsair H100i V2, and tonight for a short period they temps rose to max of 43c in AfterBurner, now I know that my room is uber hot atm, but never usually go high like that..

Not very well, it wont unfortunately.

On the Processes tab, Network will remain at 0%.

You'll only see the high Ethernet usage on the Performance tab, if you go to Open Resource Monitor and under network you'll see it being svchost or the highest resource users being Akamai.

It's a real issue for me as I have 18Mbps/2Mbps connection and it'll quickly use all of that when I'm in a game causing high ping :/

He mentioned higher CPU temps however so it'll show whatever process(es) have increased CPU utilisation.

Ah that's true

I assumed you meant specifically seeing if its Windows doing the updates
