Is Watercooling loud?

Im looking at getting the ANTEC H20 620 CPU cooler and i was wondering how loud it is? I curently have a freezer 7 pro on my AMD 1090t will i see a big performace increase with this new cooler?

Noise depends entirely on your fan choice. it will also perform a lot better than your freezer pro

Depends on what you'd call loud. 1450rpm on a 120mm isn't quiet and you'd have to consider pump noise too, 2000rpm is just plain loud. Should be cooler than a Freezer pro though.

can you replace the fan? I think i have a Antel Tri Cool 120mm fan which can go 1250-2000rpm and can you install more than one fan on it? i heard about the push pull thing

Just choose a new quieter 120mm fan
Noctua have a new 5dB one

Now compare that rated 5dB noise level with the other 'quiet' 120 fans you see in OcUK
Akasa fans at 1200rpm are 17.5dB
Bequiet at 1500rpm are 17dB

A Freezer 7 is at the budget end on cpu cooling, you will be upgrading to a cooler that is 2.5x the price.

In an ideal world, noise level would be the only problem and this would be the solution, but at 22.5 CFM Airflow, you'd probably be better off buying a mouse and having it fart on your radiator.

For comparison, the Scythe Kaze moves 68.5 CFM, and is 24dB loud, which is still quiet enough that it won't be a constant annoyance.
