is win 10 worth it

I've had a brief play with Win 10 over win 7 pro and wasn't overly impressed. I'm building a new system and have got the chance to either do a clean install of win10 or re-install win7 pro (x64) .. Is there any advantages in speed or gaming with 10 .. is it worth it?

could i try and re-install win7 and THEN update to 10? It would save some £££ it would be a pain in the bum to have to go through all the updates though .. clean would be better though I suppose ...
