Running hippy linux and it's no better than it was 20 years ago. Thinking of buying windows.

Don't want to delete my linux though. Is the windows installer smart enough to repartition and install a boot loader?
No idea what file system I choose for my linux partition but 90% sure it wasn't winfs, fat or ntfs

If you're installing to the same drive i wouldn't trust Windows not to screw up your Linux install, if it's on another drive you're better off just unplugging it while you install Windows.

Your Linux install is probably using something like ext2 or 3, either way Windows is pretty useless at reading/writing to Linux filesystems (you can get drivers that allow you to read/write to it but they're often limited in use or need to be paid for).

As BA says if you need to ask how to install Windows alongside Linux on the same drive then it's probably beyond what can be explained on a forum (high probability of problems).
