Is your HTC Desire Audio in sync on video playback?

I just checked mine even on videos straight off of the SD card and the audio is out of sync with the video. This seems to be a known problem on the internet with several people, but HTC do not appear to have done anything about it? It's not just youtube/streamed video, but local content as well. The video is not "poorly encoded" either as they work fine on PC and other phones.

Can you gus check your Desires? Mine is on firmware version 1.20.207.3 but I cannot update as it claims it is already up to date. I assume because it was from O2 and will only take O2 updates?

I have to encode videos a certain way to avoid stutter and lip-sync issues, despite my PC and ipod touch playing them perfectly.

Youtube videos are fine though, and I have an O2 handset.

on the standard t-mobile branded rom, most youtube videos were out of sync on mine. i also had to convert my films in a certain way to get them to say in sync.

not tried any vids or youtube on the sparta 1.2 rom yet.

HTC were made aware of the problem just after the phone came out, there was a post on it on xda dev.
 
My unbranded phone isn't to bad , just watched some YouTube over 3g and it was fine.

I'll try some other video later.
