Is your PS3 Slim HDMI port loose?

Compared to my old fat it seems very loose. In fact on closer inspection it's like it is pushed in a milimeter or two from the external casing which might be just enough to make the HDMI cable not "click" fully into place. It goes in and there is a slight resistance to feel that it has pushed home, but it's very loose and comes out easily. Is this an isolated issue or are they all like this?
It's only a month or so old.

No it's definitely the PS3. If I plug the same cable into another device it's solid. Tried different cables as well just or sanity check. Hmm. Maybe mine has an issue. I might have to return for a swap. :(

EDIT: Bought from Morrisons of all places. Is it worth going straight to them to swap it out or via Sony? I want a brand new replacement ideally.

Had mine since July last year and haven't noticed an issue with the HDMI port and my Cable gets taken out frequently and the girlfriends laptop plugged in.

Morrisons would have been liable to replace it within a certain time frame but they may say that its now covered under the manufacturers warranty so you may have to send it off to sony to have it replaced.

Not doing that if they send a refurb back to me. No way. I will go talk to Morrisons if I can find the receipt. Doh.

Just to update this. I mucked about with the HDMI port with a pin and tried rebending the internal tabs and squashing the port together a tiny bit with pliers. Whilst I coudl bodge it to make it better, it was still poor compared to any other HDMI port I had in my house. I took it back to Morrisons and they swapped it straight up no hassle. The new port - whilst not as solid as some other HDMI ports on other devices - is definitely better. A positive click and much more resistance as it goes in and out.

Must have just got a bad one.
