If your signature is hosted on imgur and is showing a purple placeholder, I'm happy to host it for you. I'm fed up with seeing so many purple boxes where signatures should be like this:

If you'd like me to host it, just reply in this thread, I'll pick it up via a VPN and save it to my own web space for you then update your profile so it's live.

Was imgur the only image hosting site available or are people just lazy to update their sigs?
 
Something like your own host is more reliable than another hosting site that may stop working in the future, but the former costs money/effort/time.
 
That is dire. I've seen quite a few of the imgbb and postimage photos not showing (well all of them from what I've seen). You'd have thought there would be a good hoster available out there to take the place of imgur.
 
There are other alternatives that do work currently on the forum, like imgbox, which has been working fine for some of us here since even before the Imgur block.

But what are the chances of that one also stopping in the future? If you're only embedding random images to forum posts, then something free like imgbox is fine, but hosting your own images, galleries of personal images, etc., would be better off on your own host for reliability.
