Just a quick heads up and time saver for those of you having issues with TF2

I tried having a game of TF2 this afternoon only to find as soon as I went to choose a team/class I got the beach ball of death and dumped back to desktop.

A lot of people are having the same issues it seems, on Snow Leopard and Lion.

The solution is pretty easy to find on the Valve forums (from users, not Valve themselves) but I thought I'd save you some time, here it is:

Load up game
Options
Video Options
Advanced

Set Model Detail to 'Low'

Profit.
 
I don't think they look too bad at all to be honest, its only a temporary measure until Valve get round to mending it :>
