My mum has had a Postal ISA account with Loyds tsb for a few years now but its a pain getting at your money as its all done by post so she closed it down last week now I have an Easy ISA with Abbey that you can use a ATM card to access your money and she wants to open one of them but we are not sure if you can open another one or does she have to wait till the next tax year? anyone in the banking game know if its ok to open one straight after you have shut one down

cheers

EDIT

Probably best calling the company who will do your new ISA and tell them you want to transfer to them, some will offer transfer service and it wont screw up your allowence for the year.

Yes she can, its one cash ISA per year, Doesnt have to be with the same provider, but if you roll it over you'd get interest on say £6k rather than two different lots of £3k, but by all means, she can open another one
