Inherited our "Firewall" machine from someone that left, its running windows server 2003 and ISA Server 2000. Currently has 3 network cards installed. 1 for LAN, 1 for one ISP and third one runs another ISP. VPN is bog standard PPTP, no certifactates or anything fancy.

Now i can VPN through ISP1 IP address fine, but not through ISP2. IF i disable ISP1 network card i can VPN fine through ISP2 Address. If i change the metrics around so it uses ISP2 first, i can VPN through ISP2 but not ISP1.

Anyone got anyideas where i am going wrong

one way round it would be to have client connect to a DNS name that is connected to a fail-safe fall over - that when it detects ISP1 is down, it switches dns to ISP2 so continues connectivity....

that covers external access in, but internally, i dont think there is an answer for this unless theres an option for it to be bound to both external IPs (NICS).

Otherwise two servers could be the only option.
