Our 2008 file server is attached to an iscsi device, seemed pretty straightforward to setup. Are your firewall ports open?

^ Revel in the power of copypasta! That and feel free to use your own simpler IQNs. The standard ones are unwieldy and outside large setups with iSNS servers they're pretty unnecessary
