I currently have a number of old desktop PCs, each equipped with an internal ISDN-TA. These are used by our engineers to remotely configure PBXs (mainly Siemens).
I want to bin these machines and I'd ideally I'd like to provide a number of virtual PCs for the engineers to use.
The stumbling block is how to provide each virtual PC with access to an ISDN-2 connection. I thought I'd cracked it when I found the Bintec Media Gateways. However, it seems they provide a CAPI driver and the Siemens software looks for a COM port.
I've found assorted Ethernet/Serial widgets but I'd rather not have a shelf full of individual ISDN-TAs. Having a central shared box and letting the virtual PCs grab a TA, use it and then release it would be ideal.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
