Hey all. This being my first post id like to say greetings overclockers and also yes i have read the blurb and have searched high and low for a remedy (and have found loads. Sadly none have really helped)
I play both bought and cracked games as im too poor to buy em all!!
Problem is obviously unarc error when unpacking games
I have tried:
Sfc scannow -success
Dism restore - success
Updating win10 (im on 1511) -failed both through windows. The win update catalog standalone and downloading that iso tool from their site....all fail
Tried updating from disk.
All return safe_os failed on apply_image.
When installing/unpacking games its a random percentage they fail on.
This all started when one of my data drives started failing. So i bought another and backed it up with a good margin as the drive was still working (badly) when i removed it.
To thicken the plot. I had no problems 2 weeks ago (even one of the games i uninstalled and now wont reinstall)
Ive re downloaded the game and no dice.
Ive replaced the offending dll's. Also fail
There is a few other things ive done thst i cant remember off top of my head.
But my hair is thinning rapidly over this.
And what makes it worse is i had this years ago on win7 and remwmber the updates fixing it.
So if anyone bothered reading this and can help.

P.s. my rig is
Mb: asus m5a78l -usb3
Cpu: amd phenom 2 955be o/c 3.8ghz
Ram: 12gb 2x4 and 2x2 ddr3
Boot drive: samsung 120gb ssd
Storage drives: wd 1.5tb, samsung 320gb and samsung 1tb
Psu: 750w
Gpu: geforce 750ti
