iShuffle to iPad sync.

My old MP3 player is getting on now so I have bought a shuffle for when I go out running.

It has a USB connector that I can connect to a laptop which has iTunes installed but I can't connect it direct to an iPad which has iTunes as it has no USB port.

Recently got the pad so I am a bit of an Apple noob. Any clues guys n gals ?

That's not it's intended use. All devices have a dependency on a pc/mac for syncing.

Just plus the shuffle into your computer to sync as you do with your iPad.

So there is no way of connecting a shuffle to a pad ?

Ah well. I can download tunes onto it via laptop. Strange that two Apple appliances can't sync.
