Title is the question :p Got some corsair veng 1600mhz 9-9-9-24-2T low profile ram, black heat-spreader 1.5v ram. Would I be able to over-clock it, isit worth it and would i notice a performance difference ? (I read somewhere BF4 makes use of faster ram)

Hmm probably cherry picked ram for the blog but looks like certain games are taking advantage of faster ram. The big question for me now is should I try it with the ram I have, and isit safe?

brilliant, so isit safe/worth it to try overclocking my brand of ram? and how do i go about doing it?

Well the first thing to try is to see if you can set a 18.66x RAM multiplier to see if it will run at 1866Mhz.

It is worth doing on AMD where you can significantly increase the base bus clock. This gives more flexibility to the frequencies you can use on the CPU, HT nad NB. For Intel, with a stock base clock, you are probably left with choosing between the standard 1333, 1600, 1866 profiles etc. rather than intermediate frequencies.

I do not think it makes a huge difference, a few percent as stated, unless you are using on board graphics with shared memory.

I'm scared I don't want to blow my ram! :O is there a ram - stable checking program? like Prime95 but for ram only?
