They know the risks and it is always sad news.
I am glad for the most part that despite the regular death role that the event has and continues to run in its current form. its super easy nowadays to be all 'omg get a crash barrier up' or 'omg lose the bridge jump' but its great that the organisers have stayed true to the point of the event.

RIP

Truly a challenging course, need huge balls to push to the limit.

Kinda funny how the forum blocks out his surname though >_>

How did I miss this?! Will be hunting down highlights after work...

There is a TT app available & lots of catch up on ITV4 via the player.

Pretty Epic win for Micheal Dunlop. 1 min 20 odd seconds faster than McGuiness who is "The Man" around the course proved by his record breaking last lap.

Excellent coverage with superb on board cams giving unreal footage, ******* awesome.

I LOVE the TT. Proper old school motorsport from another time but still going today. All power to the TT, hope to cotton wool brigade don't see it end.

I think the whole of Yorkshire and most of Ireland would lynch whoever tried to put it to an end! Some real characters old and new who brave the TT. It's awesome on and off the track.

My ex-neighbor won the second sidecar race in 2011. Used to watch and help him build his own sidecar not and again. To think he set off from his modest semi-detached house out to the most famous road race in the world and won, amazing. A bigger accomplishment than many richer motorsports I think.

In fact, here his is narrating someone else's lap:

Not seen it from a sidecar view before. A helmet cam would be amazing from the pillion I think. Love the bit about hitting the pillion, he did that one year haha.

Just back from the Isle of Man yesterday. Went over with my Dad (he's a biker, I'm not :))

Absolutely fantastic weekend! Great atmosphere and the speed of the bikes is insane!

We arrived on Friday at lunchtime and left early Monday morning so got to see quite a few practice sessions as well as the side car race 1 at Quarterbridge and the super bikes just down from the grandstand.

We wanted to experience a slower section and a fast section so Quarterbridge was good for the braking and accelerating and the straight section just before the grandstand was great for seeing the bikes fly past.

Would recommend any motor sport fan check out the TT at some point. Brilliant :)

Has to be said what the **** are ITV doing ? we only get an hours worth of coverage & last night you didn't see a bike until 12 minutes past 9
Some **** chatting & a load of BS when they should be showing the bikes racing.

Rant over. :p

As for the racing that has been epic, The 600's yesterday was about the best race I've ever seen I reckon.
Micheal Dunlop is the Man.

Totally agree, while i can understand random coverage when its rain stops play, but during race week, 1hr is simply not enough. All they are doing is focusing on the 5 or 6 riders with very little coverage of anyone else or racing for that matter. I want to see the privateers who fund it themselves etc.

Good on them doing it, but it really needs more time and better coverage.
