Prices seem quite high now, looking to book for August, guess it's ok to book now?

Currently looking like £277 for the week and we get 20% off of that, with the place we are staying with.

Guess there's no super deals around, it's just expensive?! I wasn't expecting it to be that much lol.

Could use Tesco clubcard points, but looking to use those for Longleat.

One of the most expensive crossings in the world per mile at certain time of the year.
Awful to go when the festival is on, ferry is quite the price in the summer too.
I've only been across in cars.
Out of season its about £40 each way
In season - £80+ each way

6 weeks holidays is around £138 each way, even early in the morning!

Yes, it's stupidly expensive, don't they always go on about having no money?

A bit of history
I was on the Isle of Wight Ferry last year and our Guide said that when the first IOW Festival happened it took over 3 weeks to get all the concert goers off the Island.
Estimates of 150,000–250,000 attended and Parliament had to act in the very early 70s to stop that many people attending again.

I was there in 1970. Living just up the A3 in Petersfield Hampshire, it was a train to Portsmouth Harbour, Ferry, and a long walk across the island to the festival site. Many, many, many top acts.
