ISO fix fitting

Hi all. Been thinking about this since this morning.

I have fitted the ISO fix for our babies car seat (baby due January). It all fits well except there is a space between the seat and the bottom of the ISO fix. Basically the front leg of the ISO fix has been extended quite high as this makes the fitting quite rigid which I'm sure is how it should be, however extending the leg this high creates the empty space. Is this right? Surely not?

We're using the maxi cosi ISO fix with the maxi cosi pebble seat if that helps and it's currently fitted into a Peugeot 206 verve which will be traded in for something bigger in the new year.

Any help much appreciated :)

I'm led to believe that's correct.

But you lost me at "maxi cosi ISO fix with the maxi cosi pebble seat".

There should not be a space. The leg is there to stop the seat snapping down if your car is hit from the rear. The seat needs some vertical movement to protect your baby if in an accident.

Just fit the base, extend the leg until it touches the floor. If all the lights go on once the seat is fitted it is fine.

It is a good setup. My little man has just got promoted to the Pearl. :)

I assume the "pebble" part is a fixed plastic base that the car seat clicks into? Also does you car seat also click onto a wheel base and become a push chair? (Just wondering really).

The Pebble is the name of the seat. We also bought the Quinny Buzz push chair which the Pebble seat can also fix to.

The base is called a Family Fix.

Cheers, will have another go tomorrow morning. Not bought the pearl yet, but probably will in the new year. What pram you got if you don't mind me asking? We bought a bugaboo chameleon, awaiting delivery this Friday coming.

As above, Quinny Buzz.

Just about to stick the Pebble on Gumtree. It is all a very expensive thing, these child travel systems.

We've got the Pebble and Family Fix. The leg shouldn't be that long, it should be extended enough to touch the floor with light pressure and the base should be flat on the seat.

This and this :) We used the pebble seat when my little chap was younger, he's been in the pearl for about a year now.

Great system and very difficult to get wrong!
