Have ordered a Parrot and am thinking about an ipod dock as well for my standard fit xantia headunit that already has the factory oem 6 cd changer attached. My question is can I also fit the Parrot and Ipod dock via the ISO socket and still keep the CD changer (presuming I buy the correct cables). Thanks:)

Ipod dock usually works via a BUS lead, this can be via the CD changer input (By removing the CD changer) or via something like IP-BUS (Pioneer).

Parrot can be wired in via the ISO block no problems but you can't do the same with the IPOD since the doc's i've seen don't have amps in them and won't enable use of the stock HU amp nor controls :)

hmmm guess I will just get the parrot installed and then look in to ipod solutions further. I may eventually ditch the Citroen Headunit and replace with a Pioneer anyway but will have to see how it goes. Thanks Firestar

Just looked at the adapter lead prices for the stock HU and they seem to be around £99, very expensive i would say.

If you get something like a Pioneer HU with IP BUS you can chain together input boxes, so you could have the CD-IB100 linked into a Adapter to allow the Pioneer to control your Citroen CD Changer :)

Not sure on the prices of the CD changer controller but £140 for a HU and £40 for the CD-IB100 :)

Yep seems to make sense to me. I would then need steering wheel control adaptors as well and some sort of adaptor because the current system appears to be double din. I suppose the nice thing is that I can install the parrot on the current system, then buy a new headunit with controls and finally an ipod adaptor. No need to do it all at once.
