iso verlcoking a GPU easy never done it before

just got a twin forzer 5850 and want to oc it a little

i have msi afterburner and wondering how far have people taken these.

whe nthe 5850 came out i remember people were saying you can take it close to 5870 speeds..

every card clocks differently, just do it slow and easy, with luck you will get close to the 5870, dont forget to increase the fan speed to remove the extra heat you will produce - You need a psu that can meet the power needs as well

825 core and 1200 memory is a quite safe place to start on stock 5850s if its much different on msi cards thats a tad dodgy but i have heard tell the cards ocuk got were not uterly perfect.

If you want to take it stage by stage, up the memory as high as it will run, find your limit there BEAR IN MIND THAT IF YOU GO NEAR THE EDGE IT WILL ACTUALLY SLOW DOWN AS THE MEMORY CORRECTS ERRORS.

Then start upping the core.
